One benefit of concentration curls over bicep curls is that you can ensure both arms are gaining the same amount of muscle mass by doing the same amount of work each set of reps. How to do concentration curls

 

  • Sit on a bench at a height that allow your knees to be bent at a 90 degree angle.
  • Make sure your feet are flat on the floor.
  • Grab a dumbbell in your right hand.
  • Sit the back of your upper right arm on your inner right thigh.
  • Extend your arm so that it’s holding the weight above the floor.
  • Curl the weight up slowly. Be careful to only move your forearms.
  • Squeeze your bicep as hard as you can for a count of 1 or 2 seconds at the top of the curl.
  • Slowly lower the weight back to the starting position.
  • Repeat the desired amount of reps.
  • Change to the left arm once the total amount of right arm reps have been completed.
  • Feel the burn. Embrace the burn.
